Eight High End Research Labs
(Mission 100X)
- AUN Artificial Intelligence Lab
The Artificial Intelligence Research and Development group explores new ways of solving research problems applying advanced AI techniques using machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic, natural language processing, knowledge representation and reasoning and genetic algorithms. In collaboration with leading universities such as Engineering Rutgers University Piscataway, New Jersey, Tsinghua University, Beijing, University of Aizu, Japan, State University of New York , Hosei University, Tokyo, Nelson Mandela University Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Computer Science University of Canberra, Canberra and Open University, London, we are working in diversified areas such as crop disease detection, robotics, AI based haptic gloves, combining image processing methods for enhancing MRI images, image encryption techniques, foreign object detection on runways and many more. We are exploring the data science projects on health monitoring, smart cities and agriculture for future directions.
- AUN Data Science and Machine Learning Lab
Research is the way of life and driving force for any academic institution and university. Data science and machine learning are contemporary area of research which re-enforce the domain of artificial intelligence, data analytics, data modelling and IoT. Amity institute of Information Technology under Amity University Uttar Pradesh, recently established the Data Science & Machine Learning Lab with the objective of strategic coordination of Research and Intellectual Properties associate with it. This lab will continue to support advanced research in order to make the next leap forward as a research university in the future and leading the institute towards self-sustainability.
- AUN IoT and Sensor Network Lab
IoT represents a vision in which the internet extends into the real world embracing everyday objects. Physical items are no longer disconnected from the virtual world, but can be controlled remotely and can act as physical access points to Internet services. The IoT vision is grounded in the belief that the steady advances in microelectronics, communications and information technology witnessed in recent years will continue into the foreseeable future. “Smart” objects play a key role in the IoT vision, since embedded communication and information technology have the potential to revolutionize the utility of these objects. Using sensors, they are able to perceive their context and via built-in networking capabilities they would be able to communicate with each other, access Internet services and interact with people. The IoT lab aims to spread the IoT among the students/researchers and to create a competitive industry required IoT skill in them.
- AUN Blockchain and Data Security Lab
Research is creating new knowledge. It’s a distance between an idea and its realization. We are proud to be a part of Amity University. We at Amity Institute of Information Technology, want to build an unparalleled research & innovation culture. We invite research scholars, faculties and students to visit and join our research lab to learn about latest research trends related to blockchain and data security.
- AUN SAP Lab
SAP University Alliances enables faculty to bring SAP software and SAP University Alliances curriculum into classrooms and academic research, to better prepare the next generation designers, developers, data scientists, makers, entrepreneurs and business leaders for the exponential enterprise. Through a network of 3,100+ educational institutions including 96% of top universities across 106 countries worldwide. SAP University Alliances aims to develop critical skills for digital futures among academics, university students and young thinkers, and to build the bridge to executives and professionals. To accelerate the impact of its global academic innovation network, SAP University Alliances has launched SAP Next-Gen to enable SAP customers and partners to seed in disruptive innovation and accelerate their exponential enterprise journeys and digital futures through connecting with students, startups, academic thought leaders and researchers, accelerators, venture firms, and other partners in the SAP University Alliances innovation network.
- AUN CISCO Networking Academy Lab
Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware, software, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products. In 2001 to bridge the gap of employable students in industry Amity Institute of Information Technology took the initiative to introduce different CISCO certification programs in the Amity Universe. For this purpose a dedicated lab enriched with hardware and software support was established in 2001 and fully upgraded time to time specially in 2020. CISCO Networking Academy Lab is an opportunity to enable our students to become a part of ready net force for jobs in the field of Computer Network/ Network Security/IoT/Software Defined Networks/Network Automation and as well as for researchers (scholars/faculty members) to perform real and simulation based research in their respective specializations related to Advanced Computer Networks . The motive has always been to develop a High Quality Systems, Processes & Standards in conformity with the best Institutes in India & World-wide. Through these Cisco Academy Programs we are giving the opportunity of “Collaboration at the speed of innovation” and prepare our students to be industry ready. The main goal of academy is to create opportunities, space and scope for the development of the talents of the youth.
7. AUN Cognitive Science and Computer Vision Lab
The cognitive science and computer vision are an emerging area of research bringing together a novel and unique combination for solving the challenges where brain, mind, behaviour, and vision involve. We work in the domain of digital health, precision agriculture, and social media that help to resolve human challenges. Cognitive Science is an interdisciplinary study of brain, mind, and behavious that have been intersected and studied with number of disciplines including computer science, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, neuroscience, and anthropology to create cognitive models. The cognitive models are combined with computer vision which solve the real-world challenges.
8. AUN Interdisciplinary Lab
This lab promises to enable academics from different backgrounds to work together on common sets of problems. Faculty and students have developed new ideas to achieve results in all aspects of computer science: systems; theory; artificial intelligence and machine learning; human-computer interaction; graphics; robotics; computer engineering; and various CS areas of research. Our research assistants engage in a wide variety of tasks, including literature review, data collection, analysis, and hands-on work in the field. Technology alone cannot solve the problems created by the complex needs of people: people working together solve problems which further leads to partnerships, communication and collaboration.
